A couple years ago my cousin made me (correctly sized according to the ACA) boards for Christmas. The problem is, he used hinges for the end boards so they fold for storage. I like the idea, but they don't stay where they should. Any ideas on using a different hinge sytem or a way to remedy this issue?

Well, you could install a latch that will keep the leg from swing open. The latch could be simple. Just a wooden latch with a screw through it to turn with your hand left or right to hold the leg closed. Another option is if this is a problem for storage and looks aren't a problem, then use a bungee cord wrapped around it to hold the folding leg in place.

Thanks, Steve. I'll figure something out. For backyard games, I just put a brick behind the front "leg" to keep if from folding under, but I have to figure out something else for camping.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I see what you are saying. Hmmm. Sounds like you need a simple wood wedge between the leg and the main underbody of the board. A 2x2 would suffice. You would need to install a cradle to hold the 2x2 on both the underbelly of the main board and the underside of the hinged leg.
